For sale is AutoAlex’s fantastic 2001 BMW E38 740i sport Auto finished in Oxford green with cream leather interior. It has covered 180,000 miles, has full service history, has 5 previous keepers, is HPI clear and the MOT has currently expired.

Interior wise, it’s in good order, the seats are in good condition and are showing minimal signs of wear, it has a half green dashboard and green carpets which are also in good condition, the rear seats are currently removed as the previous owner removed them to fit new rear suspension. It features sat-nav, cruise control, climate control, electric memory seats, an electric steering column, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric tilt & slide sunroof ETC.
Not everything is currently working because it requires a replacement GM5 module in the footwell.

Exterior wise it requires some attention, it has various patches of Lacquer peel, the worst being a patch on the leading edge of the bonnet, it also has some slight rust bubbles on the rear wheel arches, it also has the odd scuff and age related mark. It does still present well and the wheels are genuine M-Parallel’s with their original polished finish.

Mechanically it’s in good order, it runs and drives well, the engine and gearbox are very smooth, it has recently had replacement timing chains and guides, it also has brand new Bilstein B6 suspension with recent Uniroyal rainsport tyres all round with good tread. It will require some welding to the rear jacking points for its next MOT.

Overall it’s a rare example of a lovely car but it does require some fettling, it could do with some paint but mechanically it’s a great car, would make a great project for someone.
